King of the River, Master of the Pit. Friend to all and stranger to none. Gerald (Jerry) W. Smith embraced and touched many lives through-out his taken-too-soon fifty- nine years. Among those he connected with were friends of his children and children of his friends. His welcoming smile was often followed with friendly and fatherly advice.

Anyone that knew Jerry knows that he was un-apologetically himself, and never waivered from who he was. Unfortunately for all of us there is no other person that can match Jerry's steadfastness, dependability and heart made of gold. Despite whatever faults he had, he was a man that passed with an unmeasured amount of love in his heart for his family, and for his friends that considered him family.

Through the Lugnut Foundation we hope to promote the kind of relationships he so effortlessly had with so many people. We hope to carry on his legacy well into the future, so that his character will never be forgotten.

"Be good, or be good at it."
